The United States has alleged that a Russian armored car rammed a US military vehicle, injuring US soldiers, in what the White House called "unsafe and unprofessional" behavior when patrols from the northeast of the two armies clashed in Syria.

According to the US National Security Council (NSC), the incident occurred on Tuesday morning near a location described as a possible reference to Derrick near the Turkish and Iraqi borders.
